Continuity Editing

Continuity editing is invisible cuts. The 180 degree rule and match on action is used to make the scene flow smoothly. Match on action is where editors line up the shots so that the action doesn't change and fits together. The 180 degree rule is where the camera can only move around and film in the 180 degree angle on one side of the line of interaction.
